Things to remember for November: there are a few major holidays: Christmas and Hanukkah on the 25th and New Year's Eve on the 31st. Expect large crowds as you approach the holiday week.
Walt Disney World 🌎 :
December 2024 Events:
Park Hours: Always check park hours before your trip. Ticketed parties and even private special events can change the expected hours.
The 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will be held from November 29 to December 30, 2024. Check the menus to see what yummy dishes are available this year.
The Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows opens on December 17th

Magic Kingdom 🏰 :
Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks: 6:30 PM and 11:50 PM on Dec. 30 and 31, 2024. (Tip: Catch them on Dec. 30 for fewer crowds and enjoy another park on Dec. 31).
Dance Parties: Frontierland and Tomorrowland host family-friendly dance parties.
EPCOT 🌐:
Luminous: The Symphony of Us: 6:30 PM on December 31, 2024.
Cheers to the New Year: A Sparkling Celebration: 11:54 PM countdown and fireworks.
Dance Parties: DJ dance parties in pavilions like United Kingdom, China, Japan, and Italy.
Hollywood Studios 🎥 :
Fantasmic!: 8:00 PM and 9:30 PM.
DJ Dance Party: In front of Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, with a midnight countdown.
Animal Kingdom 🦒 :
• No special events; park closes at 6:00 PM.
Contemporary Resort
Tiana's New Year's Adventure: Exclusive dining and entertainment event at California Grill with character appearances, live music, and a view of Magic Kingdom's fireworks. ($799 per person).
December 2024 WDW Refurbishments:
No one likes it when their favorite ride is closed on vacation, but updates and fixes must happen. It's best to know before you go!
🚗 Test Track
Dates: June 17th — 2025
Details: Test Track presented by Chevrolet will close to get a new makeover. Call it Test Track 3.0. Details are sparse, but Disney gave some descriptions on their parks blog.
🏨 Bay Lake Tower at the Contemporary Resort
Dates: Sept 2024 — Sept 2025
Details: Beginning in September, the Bay Lake Tower would begin the first major refurbishment in its history.
🌴 Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort DVC Construction
Dates: Mar 1 — December 2024
Details: The Resort remains open, but areas adjacent to the resort are currently being renovated to include new Disney Vacation Club Villas, restaurants, and even new recreation offerings.
Port Orleans - French Quarter
Dates: May 2024 — Spring 2025
Details: Some guest rooms will be under refurbishment. Guests may see or hear construction work during daytime hours. Most Resort hotel amenities will remain available.
Typhoon Lagoon Refurbishment
Dates: November 4th — TBA
Details: Typhoon Lagoon will close to begin a seasonal refurbishment.
Swiss Family Treehouse
Dates: November 18th to December 20th

November 2024 Events:
The 2024 Disney Festival of the Holidays at Disney California Adventure Park runs from November 15, 2024, through January 6, 2025.
2024 Disney ¡Viva Navidad! at DCA runs Nov. 15 - Jan. 6.
